OUR AROMATIZED OILS

The basis for all of XOP's aromatized oils is a personal mixture of sunflower and extra virgin Arbequina olive oil. Arbequina olive oil has a characteristic fluidity and an outstanding fragrance. It has a strong fruity aroma that reminds apples and herbs, with a slight bitterness and pepper taste. It is a clearly sweet oil. Once in mouth, it is a very fluid oil, and reminds of green almonds.

The oil mixture used in each product is decided in an annual professional oil taster meeting at Borges Blanques, the capital of Arbequina olive oil. Sunflower oil is used as a neutral carrier, to balance Arbequina olive oil flavours with those of the citric, herbs or spices. We have a special care choosing special sunflower oils that have not been excessively refined and therefore it keeps all its natural antioxidant properties.

To elaborate the flavoured oils, we use a selection of our exquisite essential oils we are proud of, including Mediterranean herbs and vegetables (garlic, Italian oregano, Greek oregano, thyme from Valencia, winter savory, Italian basil, fennel...), citrics (orange, lemon, lime, mandarin), oriental spices (pepper, cardamom and ginger, amongst others), or American ones (mexican chili).

OIL FOR BRUSCHETTA

Prepared with oregano, garlic, black pepper and thyme

  • Recommended uses: Toasts, breads, appetizers, or accompaniments.
  • Presentation: Transparent glass bottles, pilfer-proof pourer, 125 and 250 ml.
  • Packaging: Cardboard box, 12 bottles

 

OIL FOR GRILLING FISH

Based on lemon zest, and aromatized with fresh leaves of basil, parsley, and garlic.

  • Recommended uses: Fish, specially oven made. Also with mussels, oysters, and in salad dressings or with vegetables,
  • Presentation: Transparent glass bottles, pilfer-proof pourer, 125 and 250 ml.
  • Packaging: Cardboard box, 12 bottles

 

OIL FOR GRILLING MEATS

A quite strong oil, prepared with rosemary, thyme, garlic, pepper, juniper and bay leaves

  • Recommended uses: All kind of meats, especially grilled ones.
  • Presentation: Transparent glass bottles, pilfer-proof pourer, 125 and 250 ml.
  • Packaging: Cardboard box, 12 bottles

 

OIL FOR GREEN SALADS

Oil prepared with fresh basil leaves, garlic and lemon.

  • Recommended uses: All kind of salads

OIL FOR TOMATO SALADS

This oil is aromatized with Greek oregano, and black pepper.

  • Recommended uses: All salads, especially in tomato salads. Also great in pizzas.
  • Presentation: Transparent glass bottles, pilfer-proof pourer, 125 and 250 ml.

OIL FOR SWEET SALADS

This is a fruity oil, prepared with orange zest and fresh raspberries

  • Recommended uses: All kind of salads, especially sweet ones, and vinaigrettes.
  • Presentation: Transparent glass bottles, pilfer-proof pourer, 125 and 250 ml.

OIL FOR PASTA DISHES

We do prepare this oil with fresh basil, oregano, garlic, capers and olives

  • Recommended uses: All kind of pasta, pizzas, and salads.

GARLIC AND PARSLEY OIL

Just oil, garlic and fresh parsley

  • Recommended uses: Mushrooms, meats, and also in appetizers, or accompaniments.

CHILI OIL

A oil with chili, black pepper and garlic, to give a strong red-hot taste without masking the original flavor of your dishes.

  • Recommended uses: All kind of recipes, especially meats, pasta, toasts, appetizers or pizza
  • Presentation: Transparent glass bottles, pilfer-proof pourer, 125 and 250 ml.

OIL FOR SMOKED FISH

A delicate oil prepared with lemon and a little touch of fennel

  • Recommended uses: Fish recipes, especially with smoked fish, i.e. salmon, cod or tunna.
